Kyriakos Pagonis

Mr. Pagonis 15 years’ experience in policy implementation and campaign management give him the unique skills necessary to provide his clients with a significant Return on Investment (ROI). He currently represents public agencies and local governments including: cities, counties, regional planning authorities, water and electric utilities and flood control agencies. His innovative financing proposals have helped his clients secure over $200 million in federal funding for economic development, transportation, water resources, housing, social services, energy, technology, homeland security and public safety, and taxation.

Success in Washington, D.C. is rarely the result of independent action. Mr. Pagonis’s ability to develop and manage strategic coalitions and his non-partisan approach to solving regulatory and funding challenges has been a primary factor to his success. For example, Mr. Pagonis created a coalition of warm weather states to achieve a more equitable share of formula funding for low income families. He works closely with national associations like the US Conference of Mayors, International Association of Fire Chiefs, US Chamber of Commerce and others to advance his clients’ agenda.

Before joining Murray, Montgomery & O’Donnell, Mr. Pagonis worked for a political consulting firm in Washington, DC where he developed campaign messaging, strategy and political analysis for a wide array of clients. In addition, he has worked in several state political campaigns in North Carolina and Ohio as a campaign manager, fundraiser and field director.

Mr. Pagonis has been a member of the Arlington County Community Development Citizens Advisory Committee (CDCAC), where he provided advice on CDBG funding proposals from community groups representing a wide constituency including: affordable housing, job training, senior centers and public service. He also is a member of the American Hellenic Education Progressive Association where he organized citizen education activities and voter registration initiatives.

Mr. Pagonis has a Master’s Degree in Applied Politics from the University of Akron and a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Public Administration from Elon University.
